This year I started feeding birds a little too soon (people do this in cold climates to help birds stay alive in winter when they can't find food), when the grass was frosty for a week and I thought the snow was coming soon. Now it's a little warmer again and I thought I wouldn't add any food for them until the next cold.
But no! These little guys already have some kind of a routine where a bunch of birds fly to our birdhouse every morning and check for food. In case there is none, they start looking into the windows (I tried to take a photo of it, but I just ended up sitting there under the window, holding up my camera for ten minutes because they decided to fly away already) and even knocking with their beaks on the windows!! (actually they are probably just trying to eat pieces of plants stuck on the window frames... but knocking on the windows for food sounds better)
Since they have already woken me up (and scared the hell out of our dog and cats) a couple times with their knocking, I decided to continue feeding them despite the warm weather... And cats like watching them fly around also :)

Here is one extremely upset bird, who looks at me while I prepare my breakfast sandwiches... And judges me for being a bad bird feeder
